Species description (Flora Helvetica 2018)

Untergetauchte Wasserpflanze mit langen, gleichmässig beblätterten Stängeln. Blätter zu 3 quirlständig, sitzend, länglich-eiförmig, 5-10(-15) mm lang und 2,5-5 mm breit. Blüten (nur in besonders warmen Sommern entwickelt) mit 2-15 cm langem, fadenförmigem Halsteil aus dem Wasser ragend, Durchmesser ca. 5 mm. Perigonblätter 6, weiss bis rosa. Reife Frucht ca. 6 mm lang und 3 mm dick.
