20-50 cm hoch, abstehend drüsenhaarig. Blätter unpaarig gefiedert, mit 3-8 Fiederpaaren. Teilblätter lanzettlich bis oval, gezähnt. Blüten einzeln in den Blattwinkeln, gestielt, Stiel kürzer als das Blatt. Krone weisslich bis violettpurpurn, ca. 1 cm lang. Fahne länger als Flügel und Schiffchen, dieses stumpf. Kelch trichterförmig, mit schmalen Zähnen, diese fast doppelt so lang wie die Kelchröhre. Frucht aufgeblasen, drüsig behaart, 1-2samig, 2-3 cm lang.
