Bis über 1 m hoch, etwas behaart, oben verzweigt. Untere Blätter sehr gross (bis über 30 cm lang), herzförmig, gezähnt, gestielt, obere kleiner, kurz gestielt oder sitzend, aber nicht umfassend. Köpfe meist einzeln am Ende der Zweige, Durchmesser 5-8 cm, mit sehr zahlreichen, ca. 1 mm breiten dunkelgelben Zungenblüten und gelbbraunen Röhrenblüten. Hüllblätter eiförmig oder lanzettlich, die äusseren mit zurückgebogener Spitze. Früchte ca. 6 mm lang, mit kurzem, kronenartigem Pappus.Flowering period (© Flora Helvetica 2018)
