Prunus dulcis (Mill.) D. A. Webb

Bis 6 m hoher Baum oder Strauch. Blätter lanzettlich, 5-10 cm lang, beidseits grün, kahl, fein und stumpf gezähnt, Stiel etwa so lang wie die grösste Breite der Blattspreite, mit Drüsen. Blüten vor den Blättern erscheinend, einzeln oder zu 2 auf kurzen, kahlen Stielen. Kronblätter weiss bis rosa, mit dunklen Nerven, 1,5-2 cm lang, ausgerandet. Frucht weich behaart, mit saftloser, lederiger Wand und löcherigem, dünnschaligem Steinkern.
