8-20 cm hoch, bogig aufsteigend. Stängel blattlos oder armblättrig, zerstreut behaart. Blätter doppelt fiederschnittig, +/- kahl. Blüten in einer kopfigen Traube, bis zu 90° um ihre Achse gedreht. Krone purpurn, 16-24 mm lang. Oberlippe in einen schlanken, 3,5-5 mm langen Schnabel ausgezogen, ohne Zähne. Unterlippe kurz bewimpert. Kelch kurzhaarig oder kahl, röhrig-glockig. Frucht länger als der Kelch.
