Species description (Flora Helvetica 2018)

Ähnlich wie M. scorpioides, aber nur 2-10 cm hoch, rasig, Stängel rund, mit nach vorn gerichteten anliegenden Haaren oder kahl, Durchmesser der Krone 6-10 mm (nur 4-6 mm bei weiblichen Blüten), Kelchstiel zur Fruchtzeit selten länger als der Kelch.
