Morus alba L.

Bis 10 m hoher Baum oder Strauch mit graubrauner Rinde. Ein- oder zweihäusig. Blätter eiförmig, weich, am Grund seicht herzförmig, lang gestielt, grob gezähnt, spitz, oft unregelmässig buchtig gelappt, oberseits kahl und glatt, unterseits meist nur auf den Nerven behaart. Blüten klein, 4zählig, in kurzen und dichten, ährigen Blütenständen, die weiblichen ca. 1 cm, die männlichen ca. 2 cm lang. Fruchtstand brombeerenartig, weisslich, bis 2,5 cm lang, deutlich gestielt.
