Ähnlich wie M. lupulina, aber Stängel nur 5-30 cm, niederliegend oder aufsteigend, wie die Blätter +/- dicht anliegend behaart, Blütenstand nur 2-8blütig, Krone 3-4 mm lang, Frucht +/- kugelig, mit 3-5 Schraubenwindungen, Durchmesser (ohne Stacheln) 2-4 mm, mit 1-5 mm langen, an der Spitze hakig gekrümmten Stacheln dicht besetzt, kurz behaart.Flowering period (© Flora Helvetica 2018)
