Synthesis

Stängel 15-25 cm hoch, 2kantig. Blätter schmal-lineal, meist weniger als 1 cm breit und bis 1 m lang, mit rauem Rand, den 1-2blütigen Blütenstand weit überragend (nur bei dieser I.-Art). Perigonblätter bis 5 cm lang, die äusseren mit starker Einschnürung, hinterer Teil violett mit gelber Mittellinie, vorderer weisslich mit violetten Adern, innere Perigonblätter violett, spatelförmig, die Narben weit überragend. Kapsel mit 6 Rippen und ca. 4 mm langem Schnabel.
