Species description

Perennial, with a slender, horizontal, very elongated rhizome. Stems 30-80 cm high, slender, sometimes slightly branched in the upper part, hirsute with protruding hairs, not prominentlyswollen at the nodes. Leavespalmatipartite, divided into (3-)5 broad lobes, the terminal division barely longer than wide, gray of hairs below. Flowers pink, big. Peduncles biflorous, 2-3 times longer than the leaf. Pedicels erect, 2-4 times longer than the calyx. Tips of sepals with 1-2 mm long awnes. Petals 20-25 mm long, slightly indented or rounded, pink, barely any darker veins, 1-2 times longer than the calyx. Carpels hairy, not wrinkled.
