Ähnlich wie G. album, aber kaum über 70 cm hoch, oft +/- rauhaarig, mittlere Blätter nur 0,5-2 mm breit, lineal, 8-15mal so lang wie breit, etwas fleischig, oberseits glänzend, unterseits heller, mit 2 glänzenden Streifen, am Rand von vorwärts gerichteten Stachelchen rau. Durchmesser der Krone bis 6 mm.
