Synthesis

5-20 cm hoch. Triebe unterirdisch weit kriechend, lockere Büschel bildend. Zweige fächerförmig angeordnet, schmal geflügelt, 2-4 mm breit, Oberseite deutlich abgeflacht, grasgrün. Blätter spitzschuppig, in 4 Reihen, auf der Unterseite mehrfach kleiner als auf der Oberseite, die kantenständigen +/- abstehend. Sporangienähren zu 1-4 (meist 2) auf 2-12 cm langem, locker beblättertem Stiel.
