15-40 cm hoch, nur 1-3(-6)blütig. Blätter und Blütenbau ähnlich wie bei A. vulgaris, aber Blattabschnitte 2. Ordnung nie gestielt. Blüten violettblau, Durchmesser 2,5-4 cm, Sporn ca. 1 cm lang, gerade oder an der Spitze etwas einwärts gebogen.
