Zwiebeln mit vielen netzigen Faserhüllen. Stängel 30-60 cm hoch. Stängelblätter 1-3, breit-lanzettlich, 10-20 cm lang und 3-6 cm breit, kaum gestielt. Blütenstand dicht kugelig, ohne Brutzwiebeln, von den Hüllblättern nicht überragt. Perigonblätter gelblich-grün bis weisslich, ca. 0,5 cm lang, von den Staubblättern weit überragt. Blütenstiele 2-3mal so lang wie die Blüten. Frucht meist 6samig.
