Das Aggregat trägt ausnahmsweise nicht den Namen eines in ihm enthaltenen Taxons. Da der Name A. plicatula aggr. bereits in der Roten Liste (Bornand et al. 2016) steht, wird er auch hier verwendet. In einer zukünftigen Version der Checklist wird das Taxon wieder den Namen A. hoppeana aggr. tragen.
