Synthesis

10-50 cm hoch, einfach oder oben verzweigt, mit kurzen Ästen. Stängel kahl oder unten behaart. Blätter wie bei A. vernalis, aber weniger dicht stehend. Blüten einzeln, endständig, rot, meist mit dunklerem Grund, Durchmesser 1,5-3 cm, mit 5-8 flachen Kronblättern. Kelchblätter der Krone anliegend, kahl, 0,6-0,8x so lang wie die Kronblätter. Fruchtstand zylindrisch. Früchtchen dicht stehend (Achse nicht sichtbar), mit grünem Schnabel.
